Eating Disorder

  • Bulimia Nervosa -characterized by binging( Eating large amounts of food) and purging ( Getting rid of the food)
  • Anorexia Nervosa -starve themselves to below 85% of their normal body weight
  • Obesity-severly overweight to the point where it causes health issues

    the woman in the anorexia documentary, reminded me of the lady in the documentary that Ms. McCartney had shown us in class. It's always an eye opener and i believe a wake up call to the public, to know that anorexia is real. that there are people suffering from it.

    An interesting fact related to this video is that eating disorders have the highest mortality rate than any other mental illness.
